ECS Electrical Cable Supply is excited to announce its participation in Electricity Transformation Canada (ETC) 2026, taking place October 19–21 at the Enercare Centre in Toronto. Visitors can find the ECS team at Booth #323.

A highlight of the booth will be a student-built electric formula race car created by Toronto Metropolitan Formula Racing (TMFR), an engineering team from Toronto Metropolitan University. As a proud sponsor of TMFR, ECS supports hands-on learning opportunities that help prepare the next generation of electrical and engineering professionals.

The race car showcases the real-world skills students develop through designing, building, testing, and troubleshooting complex electrical systems. Components used throughout the vehicle's electrical system were donated by Techspan Industries, including high-voltage wire, terminals, connectors, fuses, heat shrink, and mounting hardware.

“Connecting people and powering success is at the heart of what we do,” said Kirk Readings, Chief Revenue Officer at ECS. “Supporting student-led engineering programs helps develop the talent that will build and maintain Canada’s future electrical infrastructure.”

Belden and Techspan Industries will also be joining ECS at Booth #323, where attendees can learn more about wire and cable solutions, product applications, and supply programs for the industrial, commercial, energy, infrastructure, and renewable sectors.

ETC brings together industry leaders, manufacturers, utilities, contractors, and suppliers from across Canada’s electricity sector. ECS looks forward to connecting with attendees and showcasing the importance of investing in future talent.
