Terms and Conditions
The contest period for the Giving Thanks Giveaway is from September 22nd - October 6th, 2023. The contest is open to residents of Canada who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. No purchase is necessary to enter or win the contest. Making a purchase will not increase your chances of winning. Only one entry per customer is allowed. To participate in the contest, customers must click the designated box to give permission for ECS, Electrical Cable Supply Ltd. to contact them by phone or email during their recent browsing session. Participants must complete the entry form by answering the skill-testing question provided.
By entering the contest, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and the decisions of the ECS, which are final and binding in all matters related to the contest. The prize for the contest is a $500 gift card to the grocery store of the winner's choice in Canada for their family's Thanksgiving dinner, plus a $500 charitable donation to the Canadian registered charity of the winner's choice. The prize is non-transferable and no cash alternative will be provided.
The winner will be randomly selected on Saturday October 8th from all eligible entries received during the contest period. The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. The winner will be contacted by phone or email within seven (7) days after the end of the contest period. If the winner cannot be reached or fails to respond within fourteen (14) days of the initial contact, the prize will be forfeited, and an alternate winner may be selected.
ECS reserves the right to disqualify any entry that is incomplete, illegible, or does not comply with these Terms and Conditions. ECS also reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the contest if it determines, in its sole discretion, that any fraud, technical malfunction, or any other factor beyond its reasonable control impairs the integrity of the contest.
The contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws and regulations. The Quebec contest laws shall apply, and any dispute or litigation arising from the contest shall be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, any third party, including the grocery stores or charities mentioned in the prize description.
By participating, participants acknowledge and agree that their information may be used by the ECS for marketing purposes unless otherwise specified by the participant.
All personal information collected from participants will be used solely for the purpose of administering the contest and will be subject to the ECS' privacy policy.
